Toshiba batteries

Toshiba was founded in 1939, when Tokyo Electric merged with Shibaura Engineering Works. While this new company (called Tokyo Shibaura Electric) was quickly nicknamed Toshiba, this name wasn't adopted as the official company brand until 1978.
